Questo post è più un reminder per me, ma potrebbe essere utile anche a voi nel caso passaste per Nairobi e aveste voglia di conoscere qualche simpatica situazione.
La prima è *iHub_. Copio dall’about del loro sito: “*iHub_ – Nairobi’s Innovation Hub for the technology community is an open space for the technologists, investors, tech companies and hackers in the area. This space is a tech community facility with a focus on young entrepreneurs, web and mobile phone programmers, designers and researchers. Un hackspace a Nairobi! Ok, con tutto quello che è un hackspace rispetto ad un hacklab, penso che sia comunque interessante. Tra l’altro da qua ho sentito che è uscito il software Ushahidi che è un gran bel software social media.
La seconda segnalazione è puramente commerciale ma molto interessante: il brand Bonk. Fanno per lo più magliette e che magliette. Made in Kenya, buon cotone, buone cuciture e soprattutto belle immagini.

Per natale ho ricevuto Lumumba e Sankara, che manca nella pagina, due figure importanti per la storia africana.
L’ultimo reminder è dedicato agli artisti del Nafsi. Un gruppo di acrobati e giocolieri passato anche per Roma. Dall’about del loro sito: “Nafsi Africa Acrobats is a registered CBO (Community Based Organization) located in Nairobi, Kenya. Nafsi is a collaboration of artists and performers from the slums and ghettos around Nairobi that use the arts (both visual and performing) to teach a sense of community, respect, self-empowerment, culture, and development to children and youths in the ghettos and slums around the city.”
Interessante e lodevole iniziativa.
